Questions we get asked

How many seals do I get per charge?

Around 100 seals on a full charge, then top it up over USB-C.

Can I charge it away from mains power?

Yes. It charges over USB-C, so a power bank, a 12V socket or the USB outlets already fitted in your van will all do the job. No inverter and no 240V needed.

Will it work with vacuum bags I already own?

It's designed around Promore Products resealable vacuum bags, and that's what we recommend. Valve designs vary between brands, so we can't promise a good seal on other bags. If you're using something else, test one bag before you trust a whole butcher's order to it.

Can I seal soups, stews and other liquids?

Yes, with a bit of planning. Freeze liquids solid first, then vacuum seal the frozen block. Sealing them wet risks pulling liquid up into the nozzle, which makes a mess and can affect suction.

Does it actually stop freezer burn?

Freezer burn happens when air touches the surface of frozen food and dries it out. Take the air away and you take away the cause. It also lets you freeze food flat, which stacks better and thaws faster.

Can the bags go in the dishwasher?

No. Dishwasher heat and drying cycles break down the bag material and can damage the valve. Wash them by hand in warm soapy water, rinse, then stand them up to air dry.
