The large drawbar cover is designed to fit caravans with drawbar mounted gas bottles and is simply tightened with the straps located on the underside and rear to secure it in place. Is this drawbar hitch cover made from Canvas?
No, it is made from a totally waterproof heavy duty PVC material which is also highly resistant to UV. You should avoid a cover which is made from canvas because canvas will resist rain but is not totally waterproof. Inferior canvas drawbar covers will also absorb some level of moisture meaning it will stay wet for longer leading to possibly mold build up on the cover or the hitch componentry.
Does your cover have an enclosed underside?
No, the underside of our cover is open allowing air to exchange and avoid moisture build up on the drawbar or hitch connections. Excess moisture build up from humid air could lead to premature rust or corrosion of electrical connections. The cover has been designed to be long enough such that it can extend past the drawbar and ensure the hitch stays completely dry from any driving rain.
