Questions we get asked
What's in the Big Lap Kit?
The Promore Products Portable Vacuum Sealer, 2 sealing clips, a USB-C charging cable and an instruction manual, plus 36 Promore Products resealable vacuum bags: 6 Small, 12 Medium, 12 Large and 6 XL.
How is the Big Lap Kit different from the Getaway Kit?
The Big Lap Kit has 36 bags instead of 30. It swaps 6 Small bags for 6 more Large and adds 6 XL bags (30 x 34 cm) for bulk buys, bigger cuts and the fresh catch.
Can I seal fish and the fresh catch?
Yes. Seal fish and prawns the day you land them instead of wrapping them in cling film. Pat very wet food dry before it goes in the bag, and leave a few centimetres of clear space above it so the valve has room to do its job.
Can I seal soups, stews and other liquids?
Yes, with a bit of planning. Freeze liquids solid first, then vacuum seal the frozen block. Sealing them wet risks pulling liquid up into the nozzle, which makes a mess and can affect suction.
